Fall in and flip out!
Bin Weevils's official motto.

Bin Weevils is a 3D massively multiplayer online role-playing game (abbreviated as a MMORPG) created by Bin Weevils, Ltd. in 2007.

Originally created in 2003, Bin Weevils were cartoon shorts that were shown on the TV channel Nickelodeon.

Following the success of the cartoon shorts, an online virtual world was made on the Nickelodeon site called Bin Weevils. In 2007, Bin Weevils launched their own separate site from Nickelodeon. Although still owned by Nickelodeon, the new website featured separate pages for parents, blogs, etc.

In April 2010, it was announced that Bin Weevils would be going through a massive re-vamp. This occurred a few weeks later, and Bin Weevils re-did their whole site, the whole game, and was no longer owned by Nickelodeon, but became owned by it's own company, Bin Weevils, Ltd..

The game is set in a dustbin and players control a Bin Weevil, through which they can participate in activities and interact with other players in the virtual world. In 2011, Bin Weevils won the BAFTA Award for "Best Website". To celebrate, they released Nest Items for their players. As of September 2012, the game had over 2.3 million active users each month. In late 2012, Bin Weevils once again won the BAFTA Awards. Finally, in late 2013, Bin Weevils won again for "Best Website".

Following the success of winning two BAFTA Awards, they released merchandise to celebrate. They also released Bin Weevils Magazine, a publication that discusses the game.

Bin Weevils takes safety very seriously with a system that picks up swearing or anything else that players say. Players first start with a warning, then get several chat bans including permanent.
